I was thinking … everyone needs a group. Worship on Sunday morning is an excellent thing, no matter where you worship, but Sunday morning worship does not replace the fellowship and the back-and-forth of a face-to-face dialogue that is found while meeting with others.
It could be that you would like to talk about what you heard on Sunday morning, and would like to hear what others are learning from the Sunday worship services. Talking and thinking often go hand-in-hand. Even if we want to just sit and listen, the discussion to-and-fro on important issues can help us decide for ourselves what we think and what we can do to be involved in the work of Christ at Rockport UMC.
So we at Rockport are in the process of making new opportunities for you to be involved in walking on a Spiritual Trail along with others. It might be Sunday evening, or another day of the week. It might be that you are interested in “How the Bible came into existence” or “The struggles of the early church.” Maybe you would like to know “Where is the burning bush in my life?” Is it possible that you may just want to get together to talk about the last fishing trip you were on, or to share the latest great recipe you used at home.
Be thinking about how you can be a part of a group!
More information will be coming soon!!!
